One person detained for stolen monies that belong to Institute of Archaeology

ACP Joseph Myvett

There’s a report of a robbery in the west where an undisclosed amount of money is missing from the Institute of Archaeology. From what we have gathered, an employee reportedly took home a quantity of cash that should have been handed over to the NICH office in San Ignacio but that money was allegedly stolen from his house. Unconfirmed reports to News 5 suggest that the money may be as much as ten thousand dollars – today police wouldn’t disclose the details only to say that someone connected to NICH has been detained pending an investigation. Here’s what A.C.P. Joseph Myvett told reporters today.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“One person is detained at this point in time and that someone was recovered. At this time I do not have the details other than that that I just gave.”

Andrea Polanco

“Sir that person has any connection to NICH?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“Yes he is.”
