Double Shooting in San Pedro, Columbia Overnight

Joseph Myvett

Hours before that shooting, a pair of men, both residents of San Pedro, Columbia, received gunshot injuries just after midnight, following an altercation during an event in that southern village.  Eulalio Chiac and Orlando Choc were rushed to the Punta Gorda Hospital after the two were shot while on their way home from the event.  According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett, police are looking for one suspect whom they believe was the triggerman in both incidents.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“This morning, sometime around 2:30 a.m., Punta Gorda police were called to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital where they observed a Mayan descent male later identified as Eulalio Chiac suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.  He was in a stable condition and he reported to the police that earlier in the night of Sunday whilst at a function in San Pedro, Columbia he had an altercation or a confrontation with a family member of his and later on whilst he was going towards his home in an isolated area, he was approached by this said person who fired a shot towards his direction causing the said injuries.  Following up on that said investigation, police were also called back to the Punta Gorda Hospital where they observed one Orlando Choc suffering from apparent gunshot injuries from the same incident in San Pedro, Columbia.  In relation to this investigation, one person is being sought.”

“So are you all able to say what was the nature of the dispute?”

ACP Joseph Myvett
