Pandy Almost Loses Finger in Lord’s Bank Chopping Incident

Alejandro Cowo

A heated verbal exchange between two men in Lord’s Bank Village ended with forty-two-year-old Enrique Pandy almost losing a finger from his left hand.  Pandy reported to police that he was making his way on bicycle along Serosi Street when he encountered an individual with whom he has been having a dispute.  One thing led to another and a machete was produced.  Pandy was chopped several times to the body, including his left index finger which was partially severed.

“Yesterday at about 7:35 p.m., Ladyville police responded to a fight at Serosi Street in the Lord’s Bank area of Ladyville where they met Mr. Enrique Pandy, forty-two-year-old Belizean from that area who police observed to have several chop wounds to his body.  What the police have gathered so far from him is that he was riding his bicycle when he was approached by a male person whom he knows, where some argument ensued between them and thereafter this male person pulled out a machete and inflicted injuries to him.  He was transported to the hospital where he is still admitted, as his left index finger was almost severed.”

“Sir, do you all, has he indicated if this was any sort of prior dispute that he had with this assailant?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“Yes, apparently it’s a dispute that he had with this person that he knows, that led to this incident.”

“So you all are looking for this person?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“Yes, this person is already being sought by police.”
