Ignatius Williams is Remanded for Another Firearm Charge
Also in court, twenty-five-year-old well-known repeat offender, Ignatius “Bantan” Williams of Flamboyant Street, Belize City was sent behind bars for possession of a firearm loaded with seven live rounds of ammunitions. Williams was arraigned in the court of Magistrate Emmerson Banner after allegedly being found in possession of a pistol loaded with seven rounds of ammunitions while on Electric Avenue in Belize City. Williams pleaded not guilty to both charges, but due to the nature of the offenses, he was denied bail and remanded at the Belize Central Prison until April twelfth, 2019. He was busted last Wednesday during a police patrol when he was seen dropping the firearm near a lamppost and then fleeing the area. The gun was retrieved and Williams was arrested. He is no stranger to the police or court and has several charges pending for firearm related offenses.
