Anthony Crawford’s Shooting is Gang Related
This week we reported on the shooting of thirty-five-year-old Anthony Crawford. He was shot sometime after nine on Monday night while he was riding his bicycle on Antelope Street Extension. Crawford was shot in the chest and tonight he remains in critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Today, police say that their investigation shows that the shooting resulted from an ongoing rivalry in the neighborhood.

“What police gathered so far is that Mr. Anthony Crawford was riding this bicycle along with another friend in Antelope Street Extension when a male person came out of a bushy yard and fired two shots at their direction, causing the injuries to Mr. Crawford. He is still admitted at the hospital in a critical condition. Police have a lead and we are looking for a suspect and we are requesting the assistance of the other person that was along with him to come forward and to provide a statement to the police so we can deal with the person that we believe committed this crime.”
