Multiple Shots Fired at Vehicle; Occupants Escaped Unhurt
ASP Alejandro Cowo also spoke on a shooting on Currasow Street in Belize City which occurred this morning. Shortly after eight-thirty, hots were fired at a vehicle, but fortunately the occupants inside escaped unhurt. Police say this shooting is also connected to gang rivalry.

“The information we gathered so far is that Mr. Kevin Parham, a twenty year old Belizean, was driving his vehicle on Curassow Street when a male person was seen at the corner of Curassow and Raccoon Streets whereby this person fired several shots towards their direction causing damages to the rear of the vehicle. Fortunately, Mr. Parham and the other occupants of the vehicle were on unhurt. At the scene police found several expended shells. Police is seeking one person that we can suspect was involved in this shooting incident.”

“Sir last week there was a shooting at an alley right behind the police station. This is one is by the corner of Curassow and Raccoon Streets in the police station’s vicinity, do you believe that these two shootings may be connected?”

“Yes, we suspect that they are connected and it’s among two different rivals that live in the right near vicinity.”
