Fitzroy Says an Eyewitness Will Corroborate Garry’s Account

Fitzroy Yearwood

According to the career lawman, Riverol could not have been in fear of her life if she tailed her former common-law husband from Belize City to Los Lagos and then struck him repeatedly.

Insp. Fitzroy Yearwood, Brother of Garry Yearwood

“If you are in fear of your life would you drive fourteen miles behind somebody that you know has a licensed firearm, hit that person, slap that person in the [back] of the head, you admitted that in your statement.  The statement was made available to the media and then you drove off unharmed.  Imagine.  And then the police, without investigating, charged my brother for aggravated assault.  Any normal layman on the street that had a licensed firearm would have reacted differently.  My brother reacted responsibly, he did not assault her, he did not even draw his weapon.  I have a witness who I cannot name because we will use her in the trial that said my brother did not even reach for his firearm.”
