“We always advise the persons who will be out there enjoying themselves that they must be considerate to other persons. And if you will be driving, remember if you want to drink, don’t allow yourself to be behind the steering wheel and get someone else to drive for you. Always remember the safety procedure that you must go through. Before you leave your house, always ensure that everything is properly secured and do not leave behind any electrical appliance plugged in and ensure that your stove is properly cut off to avoid any fire or anything inside. Also, we want to appeal to the public, if you go out there to enjoy yourself and have a wonderful new year and try to avoid any confrontation with anybody over small matters because those are the things that we know always escalate out of hand during these festivities.”
