Official Report on PC Pandy’s Fatal RTA

Today police gave the official report on the accident that claimed the life of one of their own, twenty-seven-year-old Police Constable Kenyon Pandy. Pandy is the first officer to perish this week. The accident happened just after two-thirty on Tuesday afternoon near the dump in Toledo. Police say WPC Chenyque Zuniga suffered a dislocated shoulder, while her son, the four-year-old child in the vehicle, suffered injuries to the mouth. Both have been treated and released from the hospital. According to ACP Joseph Myvett, Pandy lost control of the vehicle which caused it to flip and crash.

“Upon police’s arrival, a brown Toyota Corolla was observed on the left hand side of the road in the bushes with extensive damage to its front portion. Initial investigation reveal that the vehicle which was being driven by twenty-seven-year-old Police Constable Kenyon Pandy attached to Belmopan Police Formation and at the time he was accompanied by Chenyque Zuniga and her four-year-old son, was east bound of Punta Gorda when somewhere in that area, Pandy lost control of the vehicle and it overturned several time causing him to be thrown from the vehicle. He received head and body injuries while WPC Zuniga received a dislocated shoulder, while the minor received a burst lip. All were transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital where Kenyon Pandy succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. WPC Zuniga and her four-year-old son were transported to the Southern Regional Hospital. She was released yesterday and is recuperating.”
