Norman Haulze is Shot in Ladyville

Was the shooting of seventeen-year-old Norman Haulze, in Ladyville on Saturday morning, retaliation for a murder that took place at Pier One a week ago?  Haulze’s older brother, Leroy, is on remand at the Belize Central Prison for a firearm offense. He claims that police are trying to pin him for the murder of Asher Saunders. Leory was busted by police on Friday in Belize City.  By the following day, his younger brother, Norman, had been shot in the back.  While police say that the Ladyville incident is unrelated, they are looking at angles in their investigation.

“On Saturday, December fifteenth, just before midday, Ladyville police visited 219 Partridge Street whereupon arrival they visited the inside of a house where they observed a male person who was identified as Norman Haulze, seventeen-years-old of that same address, suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds to the lower and upper side of his back.  Initial police investigation is that Mr. Norman Haulze, along with a group of male persons, was inside of the yard when they were approached by a male person of dark complexion who came and asked about an individual, if he was there.  Shortly thereafter, an argument ensued between both of the male persons where the suspect hit Mr. Haulze with a firearm in the back which discharged, hitting him to the back and causing the injuries to him.  He is still admitted in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.”
