Police Constable Busted with Crack Cocaine

A police constable attached to the Corozal Town Police Station has been disciplinary charged and placed on interdiction after he was busted with crack cocaine. On Tuesday, San Narciso resident Arcenio Yah was at his house in the village when police, based on intelligence, executed a search of his property. Inside a shirt, the officers discovered four point three grams of crack cocaine. Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino gives us more details.

“On the fourth of December, sometime around twelve-thirty p.m., Corozal police executed a search warrant at a residence in San Narciso Village. Present at the time was Arcenio Yah, a forty-year-old police constable attached to Corozal Police. With him in the residence at the time were three other family members. The police proceeded to search the residence and inside a wardrobe, they found a shirt and inside that shirt, they discovered a transparent plastic bag with a substance they believe to be crack cocaine. The drugs was ferried to the station and weighed; it amount to four point three grams. Mister Yah was later formally arrested and charged for drug trafficking. He appeared in magistrate’s court and pled not guilty; the matter is before the courts.”
