The Secret Behind Being A Successful Business Owner

Helen Frampton

The Global Entrepreneurship Network works along with men, women and children and fosters entrepreneurial skills. The session also featured several successful career women such as Attorney Margaret McKenzie and Carpe Diem’s Crystal Samos. In her presentation, Samos notes that business is personal if an entrepreneur wants to be successful in providing goods and services.  These presenters, Helen Frampton says, help to paint the struggles and successes of owning a business.

“What we gathered today is basically a session with successful women hosting other women who are in business, empowering them that you know entrepreneurship is the way. You might find yourself struggling from time to time, you might see the success come, you have people weh bring yo down, but really want to do is to empower them to continue.”

“Believing in yourself; knowing that whatever it is that you set your mind to, whatever it is that you want to accomplish and go looking for that you can. So the key is surrounding yourself with people who also believe in you and your dream. It is great to say I can do this and I am able to do this, but having that support system around you is extremely important as well. Knowing that many people do what you do, but nobody can do it like you do. Many people can imitate what you are doing, but nobody has the same heart, nobody has the character, nobody has your personality, values and morals that you have. Being yourself, knowing that you have that special touch with whatever you have—whether it is a product or service—that way you can easily identify yourself among others.”
