Clumsy Gunman Drops Weapon During Armed Robbery
Armed robberies remain unabated across the country, where thieves continue to prey on businesses, both big and small. In Belmopan on Monday morning, forty-four-year-old Chinese businessman Hong Liang Li was relieved of three hundred dollars in cash when a lone gunman entered Tai Fu Store sometime around eleven-thirty. The incident, which was captured on surveillance camera, shows a dark-complexioned male entering the establishment, before going into his pants to retrieve a weapon which clatters onto the floor. After picking up the weapon, the clumsy robber then demands cash from the proprietor at gunpoint. He is handed a wad of cash which he collects and places into his pocket and then making off on foot. The robbery took place on Cemetery Road in Belmopan.
