Faber to Boots – No Love Lost!
Despite the previous war of words between Faber and Martinez, they have pledged to continue working with each other, admitting that while they may not be bosom buddies, they are prepared to move past the incident in the interest of serving their constituents.
Patrick Faber, Deputy Prime Minister
“I have nothing personal against Minister Martinez, he is my colleague and I’d like to think he’s my friend as well. We will continue to work together. These conventions force us sometimes to take opposing sides and when it is that there is a matter that is very, very dear to a person’s heart, like his constituency of Port Loyola, this is his kingdom, as he put it, for the last few years. So it is something that he is very passionate about, we get into these differences but it is never to the extent that we will not be able to work together and continue to socialize together for the benefit of the people who we serve which is the entire Belize. So you can be assured that there is not going to be that kind of rift between Minister Martinez and I as we move forward.”
