First rural school benefits from Intelco project

Story Picture
On Wednesday, a school from the Belize district became the first rural institution to enjoy the benefits of Intelco’s Internet for Schools Project. Students from the Burrell Boom Methodist School are now able to access the Internet via any one of the eighteen machines in their new computer lab. During official opening ceremonies, area representative Ralph Fonseca and Director of Operations for Intelco, Ivan Tesecum, performed the ribbon cutting honours. News 5 understands that after school hours, the lab will be open to the community as well.
