Mother of Two, Felina James, Missing

Felina James

Thirty-seven-year-old Felina Margaret James has not been heard from or seen since Thursday, October eleventh.  The mother of two was reportedly on her way to Sarteneja Village in her grey Kia Sportage to gather her belongings as she had decided to permanently move to Belize City. James, however, never made it home and three identification cards with her picture and name on them were found near the Ministry of Natural Resources in Belmopan. Police have so far interviewed her boyfriend and her ex-common-law husband but no one seems to know where James is.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Belize City

“The babysitter had mentioned that the kids were dropped there and that she was going back to Sarteneja a where she came from to get the rest of her items, belongings so that she came to bring it to Belize City.”

“That was just Wednesday night.”

“That person has been interviewed?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“The husband is being interviewed and the boyfriend that she has right now is also being interviewed. She was riding a red in color four-door Kia Sportage. The vehicle, information we have, was last seen between Sarteneja and Chunox Village on Friday night. It is something that we are trying to confirm but it is just information that we have been receiving so far.”

Police say that they have checked with border authorities in the north to determine if the vehicle James was driving has been taken across the Mexican border. It has not. Investigators returned to the area where the IDs were found to gather more clues. We’ll keep following this story.
