Accused Murderer Kevin Bodden is Recaptured After Escaping from Police Custody

Kevin Bodden

Kevin Bodden is believed to have been the triggerman in the execution of Ghost Town boss Kendis Flowers back in March.  It took investigators six months to crack the sensational case and bring in their suspect.  But Bodden did not remain in police custody for too long.  In fact, the twenty-five-year-old escaped from detention by jumping out of a window at the precinct after asking to use the restroom.  It wasn’t until Saturday that police were able to catch up with him in the Lake Independence neighborhood.  His recapture, according to Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino, was without incident.

“On the tenth of September, Mr. Kevin Bodden, having been charged for murder, escaped from the Queen Street Police Station.  On the twenty-ninth of September he was recaptured and is in police custody.  As a result of his escape he was charged for one count of escape and during the process of escaping he had damaged a window for the station and so he was additionally charged for damage to property.”

“Could you say where he was recaptured?”

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino

“He was captured in the Saint Martin’s area of Belize City.”

“And did he put up any resistance or was this just a case of him bowing out to officers who sighted him based on information?”

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino

“As far as I know, there was no resistance from him.  There was incident in regards to his capture.”

“Sir, and what is the investigation looking like in terms of you investigating police officers for Mr. Bodden’s escape?”

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino

“I know that officers have been charged disciplinarily in regards to that matter and those are in front of a tribunal.”

It is alleged that Kevin Bodden shot and killed Kendis Flowers in mid-March of this year in the vicinity of Mopan and Mahogany Streets.
