Joy Smith Seeking Legal Advice to Recover $16,000

Joy Smith

Joy Smith says that based on the agreement, she is asking for sixteen thousand dollars owed to her for the work she put into the development of the EMT service provider because her documents and that of her husband were used for the licensing of the company.  While Smith says she was paid for her consultation fees; that is apart from this agreement.  She says that she is seeking legal advice on the way forward.

Joy Smith, Medical Tourism Facilitator/Consultant

“I am just asking for the essential materials that were used for the application for the licensing of the company to be paid for. I am not asking to be paid for the application form, for the promotional items, for none of that because I thought we were working as a team to get something down. I sent emails asking about it, they refuse to answer; I’ve sent messages through Facebook, they refuse to answer; they don’t answer phone calls, they don’t answer messages…nothing. It’s frustrating, it’s…depressed—I already pass depressed. I pass angry. I just…if you want to go through court, because I already went to a lawyer for debt collection, but she is backlogged; I have to wait until she is finished with that. But at the end of the day, I shouldn’t have to spend money on a lawyer to get paid for something that you are still using; that the Ministry of Heath still has on their logs.”

Several attempts were made to contact Southern Emergency Services, but there was no response.
