Man accused of Western Union robbery slapped with 14 charges

Story PictureAlso in court, Magistrate Sharon Fraser threw the book at twenty-two year old Brandon Taylor, who is charged in connection with an Attempted Robbery at Western Union. Police believe Taylor was one of several persons involved in the crime and he now faces fourteen offences including Attempted Murder and Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm. Taylor was not granted bail and was remanded into custody until June twenty-third. The incident occurred on May second, when three armed men with rags over their faces stormed Western Union on Regent Street. The men went in shooting and fifty-three year old security guard, Glenford Williams fired back. William, taxi driver Wayne Wallace and police officer Delton Mariano were all injured in the crossfire. A minor, who is currently imprisoned, will also be charged and police are now seeking Lincoln Helmsley.
