Fire in San Pedrito Area Leaves Coconut Leo Homeless

A string of fires has been affecting the island of San Pedro. Over the weekend, another erupted on the island of San Pedro and left yet another person without a roof over his head.  The homeowner is Leo Martinez, popularly known as Coconut Leo, is tonight homeless after a fire around ten-thirty p.m. on Sunday, consumed the small wooden structure in the San Pedrito area of the island. The house had no electricity and Martinez believes that it was deliberately set on fire. He, however, has not made an official report to police who say that they are following all leads into this suspected arson on the island.

“Official report has not been made as yet to us, but police responded to the San Pedrito area sometime after eleven where a twelve by eight plywood structure which contained only a mattress and some clothing from Mister Leo Martinez, owner of the establishment, apparently was destroyed by fire. We are still awaiting for Mister Martinez to come in and give us an official report because preliminary he is mentioning that he suspects that somebody set the building on fire. But up to this moment, he has not visited the station for an official report to be recorded.”
