T-Street Fire Connected to Burglaries?

Police are investigating a recent fire on T-Street as a case of arson. According to the authorities, while the National Fire Service is exploring that angle, the fire left fifty-nine-year-old Gild Jones without a home.  Jones, however, has not formally made a report that she had been threatened.  As police await the final conclusion, they are following up the incident as it may have been triggered by other criminal activities in the area.

“The fire department had initially provided a report that to them there is some indication that it might be arson. But this matter is still being followed and investigated by the Police Department.”

“Sir, are police investigators looking at the possibility that Ms Gilda had been threatened several times before in that particular community and that may be the probable cause the fire is arson?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“Well, no, that information has not reached us. However, I know that the Fire Department mentioned there was some indication of that but they were working to find out whether that was the direct cause.”

“Is there any indication that a burglary in the neighborhood may have triggered this event?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“No. We don’t have any indication this is a possibility. But we know for a fact that yes there had been a number of burglaries in that area. But there is nothing to indicate to us that she had been threatened or not even mentioned that persons in the neighborhood were trying to use her house to stash the goods that had been stolen.”
