Nelson Twist Stabbed after Altercation with Sister

Joseph Myvett

Even before the incident in Georgeville, further east in the village of Roaring Creek, a family dispute ended with the multiple stabbing of a forty-five-year-old resident.  Just after midnight on Friday, two men assaulted Nelson Twist at his residence in the village; he was badly beaten before the men stabbed him as many as seven times to the body. He was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital and remains there in a stable condition. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett says the investigation has since revealed that an argument between Twist and his sister led to his stabbing.
