Cops Also Seeking Killer of Patrick Crossdale

Patrick Crossdale

Fifty-five-year-old Patrick Crossdale, a Jamaican national residing in the Monument Site area of Dangriga Town, was ambushed on his way home on Tuesday near the Gulisi Primary School. A single attacker came out from bushes and fired at him.  Students attending the school had to be given the rest of the day off as a result of the traumatic experience. Meanwhile, Courtney Jackson, a friend of the late Crossdale, is very much in fear for his life due to an ongoing feud in the Culture Capital’s Jamaican community. We brought up the matter with police during today’s press briefing.

Isani Cayetano

“Has it been reported, sir, that one Courtney Jackson believes that he may have been the intended target of this particular execution, and that his colleague, Mr. Crossdale, was shot and killed so that, in essence, his enemies, his attackers in this case, would have clear access to him? Has that been reported to police?”

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino, C.I.B., Belize City

“Not that I know of. That hasn’t been relayed to me; I can’t confirm that information.”

“Do the officers know who the intended target was in this attack? Was it believed to be Mr. Crossdale?”

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino

“I don’t want to go into details in regards to that. The investigation is ongoing and as soon as we have some confirmation, the green light, we will brief you on that.”

As for the complaints to police mentioned by Jackson, police likewise declined to discuss it.
