Who Killed Alvin Montero and Burnt His House?

Alvin Montero

Investigators are probing yet another murder in Roaring Creek Village where the decomposing body of Alvin Montero surfaced in the nearby river on Tuesday morning.  The corpse was fished out of the waterway after residents alerted police that they had discovered what appeared to be human remains floating downstream.  It was later found that the body of the twenty-four-year-old had large chop wounds on the head and neck.  Today, Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo informed the media that police are also looking into the angle that the incident may have involved an act of arson.

“The post mortem was conducted a few hours after.  The doctor has confirmed that the cause of death was because of the injuries that he had received to his throat and to the head, two large chop wounds.”

“We understand that this also involved a possible case of arson.”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“Yes, I was told that where he was residing when police visited that location on that date, the house which is a small, about ten by ten structure was completely destroyed by fire and his bicycle was found a few yards from where the house was burnt.”

“Have you been able to establish when that structure was burnt?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“What we understand is that it was burnt either the Saturday night or the Sunday morning.”

“And based on medical examination of his body, could you determine when he was killed or thrown into the river?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“According to the post mortem examination, the body had signs of at least two days that it was, the person had passed away.”
