American Tourist Raped in San Pedro

An American tourist was sexually assaulted in San Pedro just before dawn today.  The twenty-five-year-old woman visited the police station on the island this morning and reported that while asleep, she was awoken by a push.  That’s when she realized that someone she knows was having sexual intercourse with her against her will.  Police have since detained one man pending the outcome of an investigation.  The alleged victim has sought to have the perpetrator taken to court to face a charge of rape.
