On Return, P.M. Too Busy for Media Questions

Earlier this week Prime Minister Dean Barrow left the country with his family on personal business in the United States. As has become common practice, the local media camped out this afternoon at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville awaiting his return. We had several questions for him, including when budget consultations with the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other organizations will be carried out since the financial year ends on March thirty-first, just after the March seventh municipal elections. We also wanted to find out when the U.H.S. matter returns to the House following news last week of further litigation due at the Caribbean Court of Justice.  The resolution of the Sunshine Holdings matter; his input on the anti-crime strategy unveiled this week by the Police Department and many other issues. But when he came out of the international arrival doors at the P.G.I.A. minutes before two this afternoon, he regretfully informed that he could not stay to chat as he had a meeting scheduled for three o’clock in Belmopan. With that, he was whisked away.
