Jumoke Castro Latest to Run Afoul of the Law

Jumoke Castro

The eldest of three Castro brothers, sons of Belize Rural North Area Representative Edmond ‘Clear the Land’ Castro, was arraigned before the Magistrate’s Court late last week in connection with a string of traffic violations.  Two others have had run-ins with the law, but Jumoke Castro was pulled over on November eighth, while driving a vehicle without a license near East Collet Canal.  According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Alejandro Cowo, Castro’s arrest was unhindered.

“He was driving a vehicle by East Collet Canal where he was intercepted by a regular police patrol.  They inspected the vehicle and it did not have any license, so he was arrested and charged last night for the license.  He was given bail to appear in court…  He was charged with drove motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and failed to display the license sticker.  Those were the three offenses that we were charged with last night.  He was granted bail and will appear in the Magistrate’s Court on a later date.”

Jumoke Castro is the elder brother of siblings Wasani and Jafari.
