Ryan Swift Poisoned; Police Have Not Identified Chemical

A week ago Saturday, fifty-four-year-old Ryan Swift died after suffering a seizure at his home on Central American Boulevard. On Thursday, police confirmed that he was poisoned after consuming a toxic substance. Ryan, an exterminator by trade, and his brother sixty-one-year-old Steven Swift had been socializing early on Saturday at his residence after earlier handling some chemicals, according to police. Steve left to buy rum and when he came back, Ryan was seizing on the ground. After Ryan collapsed, Steven went out on the Boulevard looking for help but he too seized and collapsed. Steven Swift remains hospitalized and police investigations continue. They await a toxicology report to determine exactly what was ingested by both brothers but foul play is not suspected in Ryan’s sudden death.
