Robbers Strike Carmelita, O.W. Town

There were two other armed robberies over the weekend in Orange Walk. The first occurred on Friday afternoon on Zericote Street in Orange Walk Town. Sometime after three o’clock, two men dressed in black clothing, wearing caps and white rags over their faces entered Sun Luck Store and held up Hong Zhen Quin. The twenty-four-year-old shopkeeper says one of the robbers pointed what appeared to be a nine millimeter pistol to his face before stealing six hundred dollars from him. On Saturday night, two thieves struck a well-known shop in Carmelita Village. Around eight-fifteen p.m., thirty-seven-year-old Yulisa Villamil was inside Mini Super Harvies shop when two men dressed in dark clothing and with their faces covered entered the shop. Several patrons who were inside the store along with Villamil were held at gunpoint and robbed of their belongings, including cell phones and cash—all to a total of three thousand five hundred Belize dollars and one thousand pesos.  After robbing the owner and the customers, the thieves escaped in a white in color SUV.
