Homeowner shoots would-be minor burglar
A seventeen-year-old minor remains in the hospital in a stable condition after being shot by a homeowner who believed he was trying to burglarize his home. Sixty-three year old Joseph Duce of Police Street saw two men on his verandah around two this morning. He fired twice at them with his licensed firearm and managed to catch one of the suspects with gunshot wound to the left arm. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital by private vehicle and remains there tonight. Police did not say what became of the other man seen by Duce on his verandah.
