T.D. Off Nicaragua Headed Belize’s Way for Holiday Weekend

All eyes are on Tropical Depression Sixteen which has maximum sustained winds of thirty-five miles per hour and recently formed off the coast of Nicaragua where it is moving at seven miles per hour in a northwest direction. It is forecasted to continue on that path and become a tropical storm by Friday and will likely be located to the east or directly in front of the country. NEMO is advising the public to make preparations to protect life and property and those in low lying areas should look at moving to higher grounds. NEMO also advises not to venture out to sea after Friday and that all fishers and persons on the cayes are urged to monitor and track TD Sixteen. In this latest report from the Weather Channel, early predictions are looking at a lower system hurricane forming that will move towards the U.S.  Part of Central America, as well as Mexico, are expected to receive heavy winds and rains.
