Body Shows Tattoos of Rosary, Names “Dian” and “Emmanuel”

But the identity of the victim remains a mystery and police is turning to the public for assistance as well as their counterparts in Guatemala to determine who is John Doe. While the police refrained from issuing a photo due to the state in which the body was found, ASP Iche gave a description of the victim to assist in his identification.

“The body has a tattooed rosary coming down his chest with a cross at the middle. It has the name Dian with thirteen stars around it on the left upper shoulder; the name Emmanuel on the left inner wrist and a curved scar on the left foot. We are asking for the public’s assistance in providing us with any information regarding the identity of this person and also any information in regards to the investigation of his death.”

“Now sir, does the police have any information of missing person that fits this description?”

“There is no report of any missing person.”


Duane Moody

“Are you guys looking at that or contacting your counterparts in Guatemala to see if they have a missing person?”

“We have informed our colleagues in Benque Viejo to see if there is any information coming from that side.”



“Did you say his ethnicity if they said if he is Creole or Hispanic?”

“The body appears to be mixed, Creole and Hispanic.”
