Police Chase Leads in Mark Pollard Disappearance
It is nine days since Mark Pollard went missing while out exercising on the Phillip Goldson Highway. Family members fear the worst and the search for the Belize City man has intensified. Today, we asked Deputy Regional Commander, Superintendent Daniel Arzu about police’s involvement in the case. He says they are a part of the search efforts and that investigations continue. Sometime this week a short surveillance footage showing Pollard walking past the Shell Gas station has popped up online. Today we asked Arzu if they are using this piece of new material. Here’s what he had to say.
Supt. Daniel Arzu, Deputy Regional Commander, Eastern Division South
“I may not be in a position to go into detail with you, but I can safely tell you that we have put together search teams to search for Mister Pollard. I am also cognizant of the fact that there are residents participating in that search for Mister Pollard and our investigators equally are in wholly and solely to carry out investigations and bring the matter to some closure indeed. I may not have the details to provide you with at this time, but our investigations are ongoing and we have search teams in place.”
“Are you using the surveillance footage that is available from the route that he normally takes?”
Supt. Daniel Arzu
“I am not in a position to provide you with much information, but I am sure also that the investigators have explored all avenues available to them and they continue to probe in different areas so that they can get the relevant information needed in this investigation.”
they should investigate William Tush
back in 2012 he attacked a jogger in that same road.
