1 Year Later, Are Found Bones the Remainder of Pastor Lue?

William ‘Danny’ Mason

Are the skeletal remains found on William ‘Danny’ Mason’s sprawling property near La Democracia Village the bones of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas?  That’s what court prosecutors are trying to confirm.  This morning, the skull of the deceased Christian minister, who was allegedly decapitated at Mason’s farm in mid-July 2016, was exhumed.  News Five is reliably informed that the purpose of the unearthing was to swab for DNA samples against which specimen from the skeletal remains found on the property will be compared.  It is not certain when those results will be returned to the country since it is expected that the samples will be sent abroad for testing.  Mason, along with four other men, villagers from neighboring Roaring Creek, are awaiting trial for the gruesome murder of Pastor Lucas who was abducted along with another individual and taken to the ranch.  While American national David Dodd was speared by his kidnappers, the same cannot be said for Lucas who was butchered and beheaded at the farm.  The kidnapping reportedly took place at Mason’s home on Intelco Hill in Belmopan following a financial transaction gone awry.

justice in Belize takes so long. By the time justice is made, evidence has disappeared. It is so sad days in Belize. We saw this with the case of the press officer of the P M.
