Jane Usher Hosts Chester’s Final “Meet and Greet”

In his final meet and greet session today, Assistant Commissioner of Police Chester Williams was in the Jane Usher Boulevard area not only to bid farewell, but to get a feedback of the concerns of residents about policing efforts within the area.

ACP Chester Williams, Regional Commander, Eastern Division South

“Indeed it is my final meet and greet as the Officer Commanding Eastern Division South and the feedback from the people that we have encountered for today have been positive in the sense that they are saying that they are happy for the policing in the area. The patrols are visible; every so often they see the patrols pass by.”

“Some of them are expressing some kind of dismay because you are leaving, but what kind of assurances are you giving them that your replacement, Mister Vidal, will keep in place some of these programs that you and the community policing unit have started on the south side?”

ACP Chester Williams

“Well my thing to them is to remain optimistic. I have said before and I will say again that I believe that Mister Vidal will do good; he’s an exceptional officer as well. And I believe that he will continue some of the programs—I am not sure about all, but some of them.”
