“If you go to my office, you will see my office is peel. I have packed and prepared to leave. I am just awaiting Mister Vidal taking over; he should be coming in on Friday to take over. I will be handing over to him on Friday morning and after Friday morning; I am no longer the Officer Commanding Eastern Division South. I should be taking over from Mister Lino, Professional Standards Branch on Monday and then I’ll assume command of that unit. So tomorrow we are having an event at the Raccoon Street Police Station and the media is invited. We will be having a farewell/appreciation event…I want to show appreciation to some officers who have been there with me as well as to the media. As much as the media has been a pain in the butt at times, we understand that it comes with the territory and nothing is held against them. I am sure that the work that we have done together—you putting out the good work of the police out there in the public has been exceptional and priceless—so it is only worthy that I also express my gratitude to the media for the support that they have given me over the past two days.”
