Amin Cho of Guinea Grass sought for shopkeeper’s murder

Police are also turning to the public for assistance in locating a man believed to be responsible for the murder of Pedro Pol, an elderly shopkeeper from the village of August Pine Ridge in the Orange Walk District.  The suspect is Amin Ricardo Cho, a twenty-six-year-old resident from the nearby village of Guinea Grass. Cho is five-feet-five inches in height, has brown eyes and is described as having a sharp nose.  Police today circulated a wanted poster with his particulars, seeking information on his whereabouts. The shopkeeper suffered a horrific death. The ninety-year-old was ambushed inside his small shop by two men, including a minor.  Pol was bound on the feet, his mouth stuffed and a towel tied around his neck in the afternoon of June fifteenth. He was injured on the head and body and then robbed by two persons.  Pol was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital, but died soon after.  Police, with the assistance of villagers, picked up a minor after the murder and are now looking for Amin Cho.  Anyone with information on Cho is asked to call the Orange Walk Police at 322-2022, 911 or the nearest Police Station.
