NEMO Restores Water to Bullet Tree
The waters receded rapidly, but it did cause a problem. Since Saturday, the Bullet Tree Village has been without water at the pipes. The torrential rains over the weekend damaged the pump at the water system. NEMO Coordinator Westby told News Five today that a replacement pump should be installed overnight and running water should be back inside homes by Tuesday. In the interim, they are going around the village providing water through a local contractor.

“We are facing another event where Bullet Tree Village lost their water pump due to high voltage and now we are in here giving back to the residents through the Bullet Tree Water Board; we are giving them back good drinking water through Snooty Fox Water Supply.”

“Now sir, what’s the process? What’s going to happen because we understand that the flood damaged the pumps? So when can we see any works to get that repaired?”
Al Westby
“My national coordinator spoke to the head of rural development; that’s Mister Dale Banner, who is in charge of these things, and he told us that there is a system that is already ordered and it should be here some time tonight or early in the morning. So basically what we are doing right now is we are giving drinking water to the personnel and then after we could probably give them for laundry and wash up their kitchen items or so.”
