Serial Robber Pleads Guilty, Gets More Prison Time

Tonight, well-known criminal figure Stanley Moore was handed down another prison sentence after he changed his not guilty plea to guilty for attempted robbery and wounding against a seventy-three-year-old businessman and his friend.  Moore is already serving a nine-year prison term for robbing a woman. After he changed his plea to avoid trial, he got a slap on the wrist since his new six-year prison was ordered to run concurrently to his other sentence of nine years for robbery.  Moore pleaded guilty of attempting to rob at gunpoint Henry Bulwer and Richard Thurton, who were socializing at a Fruit and Vegetable shop.  The incident occurred in December 2016, in Belize City.  But today, inside Magistrate Carlon Mendoza’s court room, Moore threw himself to the mercy of the court and pleaded guilty to both charges. All things considered, he was sentenced to five years for attempted robbery and one year for wounding which will run along with his previous conviction. Bulwer and Thurton were attacked by two armed men at his shop on Raccoon Street. Both chose to struggle, but were overpowered by the gunmen who fled on separate bicycles parked in the area.  But freedom did not last long for one of the men, who police were able to nab. In March, Moore was sentenced for an armed robbery of twenty-one-year-old Ashley Perez who was robbed in front of Fibber’s Fry Chicken of her phone and chain.
