“Yellow Man” Responsible, Says Finnegan, But Should Not Be Dismissed

Because of his unbecoming behavior, there are loud calls for Yellow Man’s removal since as mace bearer he should be upholding the dignity of the House.  Senior Minister Michael Finnegan told News Five that Yellow Man’s actions against the media cannot be condoned.

Michael Finnegan, Area Rep., Mesopotamia

“What he did in my view was unfortunate. The media is there to report the news. Camera people are there to report the news, to pick up the news. Cameramen or news people are not there to interfere with Ministers of government, with protestors or with whatever you may call to it. And these people from the fourth estate must be respected and what was done, I cannot condone and I will not condone and my part will not condone. And when you are a member of my party, you must also learn to take up personal responsibility. That is his responsibility and he needs to apologize to those people that he interfered with.”

“Now do you feel that he should be removed as macebearer?”

Michael Finnegan

“You don’t kill a man. You don’t kill a man. You have to look at the level. What he done was totally wrong, do not condone or thing. But just to hib him out there and throw him to the wolves, I don’t think I need to go that far. I will not go that far.”
