Faber Says “Yellow Man” Will Also Be Discussed by U.D.P.

Patrick Faber

Yellow Man will get his day before the National Assembly Staff Committee. They will decide what course of action, if any, will be taken following the Mace-bearer’s behavior at the senate hearings two weeks ago. DPM Patrick Faber says that what happened was unfortunate, and because of Audinett’s role within the National Assembly, appropriate steps must be taken starting with that meeting. Faber says that the matter is also being discussed at the party’s meetings.

Patrick Faber, Deputy Prime Minister

“Indeed the actions of the Macebearer was unfortunate. I think those actions we could have done without. I think the quarrel with the media is never good thing. And the matter, as I understand it, because the macebearer is a part of the staff of the National Assembly will be sent to the staff of the national assembly. I believe we have a meeting for that staff committee scheduled for some time next week. I am a member of that committee and I look forward to listening to all the facts and then, jointly, along with the other members of that committee which include the Speaker, the President of the Senate, Opposition side members and members of the Government and then be able to decide on whether or not those actions were – well from now I can say for me those actions were not warranted but what is the government and the national assembly prepared to do is what they will determine. But sometimes we get into things that are unfortunate and that, for me, is certainly unfortunate. We have our party meetings coming up. The central executive meets this evening and the national party council will meet afterwards and these are issues we will discuss.”
