Ride by Shooting on Raccoon Street
A pair of Belize City men riding on a motorcycle not too far from the Raccoon Street Police Station came under gunfire on Monday night when they were intercepted by a vehicle whose occupants unloaded a fusillade of bullets in their direction. Twenty-four-year-old Reese Riverol and twenty-seven-year-old Joseph Rowland are both recovering from injuries they received after being shot by an unknown assailant in a black sports utility vehicle. Riverol was wounded on the right ankle, while Rowland was seen with cuts and abrasions to both of his legs. The men were riding a motorcycle from Pelican Street to Raccoon Street when they were met with a shower of bullets. They are listed in stable condition at the K.H.M.H.
