Former “Fake Cop” Says Real Police Covered Up, Did Not Properly Investigate Him

Aaron Wilson

At trial, Henderson effectively denied knowing or assisting Wilson in any way, but Wilson says he worked exclusively under Henderson’s command and was allowed to wear the brown Police Number One uniform, which was switched out after his case exploded into the public eye.  Wilson also charges that he was paid ‘under the table’ to cover up any link between them.  He contends that the police investigation was shoddy and compromised from the very beginning.

Aaron Wilson, Convicted of False Pretenses as Police Officer

“I went to Atlantic Bank in 2010 and I opened a bank account; I have the bankbook still. I opened this account; I gave him the account number, and two months after, when I was charged, he still paid me in an envelope with cash inside, and I believe he did it so that I could not be traced, so that there would not be a trace that he had a link with me. All the while in the investigation, Mr. Henderson did not say anything; he never wrote up a statement that ‘we did such and such when we found that Aaron Wilson was not – ‘ he did not say anything; it was until his name was called in the court, when Glen Rivero, the I.A.D. officer told the court that Mr. Henderson was in the office with me, it was then that Mr. Henderson was called to give a statement; so when he was called to give a statement, he was asked if he had any reason why until 2017 to give a statement – he said there’s no reason. There had to be a reason; Mr. Henderson was trying to hide from this investigation all the while. I believe it was unfair for Mr. Henderson to be a part of the investigation if he is the one that hired me – he would have benefited anyway he wanted because he gave Mr. Rivero all the commands. He told Mr. Rivero that he wanted Rivero to investigate me. Mr. Rivero is an inspector at I.A.D. which is the Internal Affairs and Discipline – they deal with police only. They are saying now that they started the investigation as a police, that is why they kept it there. But upon finding out a man is a criminal dressed in a police uniform, I believe he should be sent to the C.I.B. where they investigate criminals. Because if a man will beat his wife – if a man should go to the Police Station and beat his wife, the Police there will tell [them] – if a wife says her husband beat her, then police will direct them to the D.V.U., the Domestic Violence Unit, to deal with persons who are trained in that field to work with you. So the same thing with the I.A.D. – that unit is based to investigate their own; upon finding out I am not their own why didn’t they send me to the C.I.B.? Police didn’t reveal where I get the uniform from. What type of investigation?”
