Police Stuck on Stabbed, Dismembered Blackman Eddy Torso

The dismembered body of a woman found in a crocus sack last week near the Iguana Creek Bridge in Black Man Eddy Village remains unidentified.  The gruesome discovery of the mutilated remains on Tuesday was made by a group of young men who were hunting iguanas in the area.  While the severed limbs were retrieved from the banks of the Belize River, the torso was found a day later in the general vicinity.  Tonight, the police are no closer to verifying an identity, nor do they have any leads to follow.  According to the Head of the Crimes Investigation Branch, an autopsy has indicated that the woman was stabbed as many as seven times before being cut into pieces.

“In reference to the body, the human body parts that were found earlier last week near the Iguana Creek Bridge, the police investigation still continues into this matter.  A post mortem done on the remains of what were found was determined to be that of a female, Hispanic of stocky built.  The post mortem also revealed that she died from seven stab wounds.”

“Have you all been able to, like the last time a body was found, have any kind of tattoo or anything that can help in identifying the victim?”

Joseph Myvette

“No.  Upon investigation of the body, the skin was removed.”

Isani Cayetano

“Has there been any missing person’s report either within that general area that would lead investigators to look in a particular direction?”

Joseph Myvette

“The entire area was canvassed.  The police did follow several leads but these persons turned out to be alive.”
