Tailor charged for assault of minor
A tailor charged with aggravated assault of a minor is out free on bail. Fifty one year-old tailor, Angel Arias was charged today in Magistrates’ Court for allegedly touching a fourteen year-old girl inappropriately at his business on New Road. The girl claimed that Arias took advantage of her when he was taking her measurements for her school uniform. Arias pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the prosecution objected to bail due to the prevalence of sexual offences. However, Magistrate Alfred Hoare did not sustain the objection, and offered him a bail of five thousand dollars. The case has been adjourned until July twentieth.
