Gas Prices Up Again Countrywide

Prices for all forms of gasoline – regular, premium and diesel – are up again following a slight reprieve lasting a little over a week. News Five understands that after several weeks of prices for regular and premium gasoline being the same, the price of the latter has shot up past ten dollars, with the price being ten dollars and thirty-five cents in Belize City, up from nine dollars and ninety-four cents. Regular gasoline, meanwhile, remains below the ten dollar mark, but still went up eleven cents to nine dollars and sixty-eight cents. There had been a reduction for diesel from nine dollars and six cents to eight dollars and eighty-eight cents, but the price is back up to nine dollars and two cents. Government has sent no explanation for the price rise. Prices elsewhere in the country are determined by freight costs, so you will most likely pay more countrywide.
