Enfield Fitzgibbon in Court for Attempted Murder in Conch Shell Bay

There was a community outreach earlier today in the Conch Shell Bay neighborhood, led by the Belize Police Department and Albert Area Representative Tracy Panton.  The initiative followed the arraignment of twenty-seven-year-old Enfield Fitzgibbon who has been charged with the attempted murder of Keimar Nicholas.  The near-fatal shooting incident occurred on Monday night in Lindo’s Alley when Fitzgibbon allegedly opened fire on Nicholas in front of his residence.  In court this morning, the accused triggerman was read a total of five counts, one for attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm with a deadly weapon.  He was additionally charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm upon Ryan Rosales and Cassia Young.  According to police, during Fitzgibbon’s apprehension he was found in possession of a Sig Sauer nine millimeter pistol.  During his arraignment however, charges for firearm related offences were not read to him.  Due to the nature of the offenses no plea was taken from Fitzgibbon and he was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April twenty-fourth.
