San Antonio, Toledo Farmer Shot, in Critical Condition

A farmer of San Antonio, Toledo District remains hospitalized tonight after surviving a near-fatal shooting incident on Monday night.  Shortly before eight o’clock, fifty-six-year-old Rufino Bul was inside his bar when four masked men entered the premises.  One of them produced a firearm and took aim at the proprietor before discharging his weapon.  Bul was shot in the left side of the chest; the bullet exiting his back.  Suffering from the gunshot wound, he then reportedly walked to the San Antonio Clinic for medical assistance.  A 911 call was subsequently placed to police who responded to the scene of the incident.  Bul was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital before being transferred to the Southern Regional Hospital where he is presently listed in critical condition. Meanwhile, his attackers remain on the lam as they made good their escape from the scene of the shooting.  Police are investigating the armed assault on Rufino Bul.
