Northside Police Seek Contributions for Christmas Hampers

Fitzroy Yearwood

Christmas is a time of sharing and caring and the Police of Eastern Division North Precinct Three want to spread some cheer this holiday season. Press Officer of Eastern Division North Fitzroy Yearwood says that six needy families will be given food hampers as a part of their outreach to the communities they serve. But to make the families’ Christmas a little bigger and brighter, the police need your help to give back. They say you can make contributions of non-perishable foods for the six hampers.

Insp. Fitzroy Yearwood, PR, Eastern Division North

“Every year we have a Christmas Hamper drive but it is done within the confines of Eastern Division North; where we ask our officers to give from their hearts canned goods and anything that they can afford and then we put them together and our community officers identify members of the area that they believe wouldn’t have a so blessed Christmas. We then pick a day and go out and hand over sometime next week. We are trying to aim for at least six this year. We are not sure if we are certain we will reach our aim but we encourage the public if they have any canned goods that they want to donate towards our cause, we have a box downstairs at Precinct Three and one at Caribbean Shores where they can just walk in and drop whatever they think they can contribute to make some family happy for the Christmas.”
