Are Senior Police Behind Blackmail and Abuse of Jerome Crawford?

Jerome Crawford

Crawford claims that he was physically abused by the arresting officers, a matter which is presently before the court.  He also says that in visiting the Belmopan police station on Tuesday, he caught wind of a plan involving several officers to blackmail employees of Michael Modiri.

Jerome Crawford, Employee of Michael Modiri

“The day when the police came to check on that so-called report I was arrested and handcuffed and was hit repeatedly by a Corporal Castillo.  So he, twice while they handcuffed me and put me in the vehicle and again while they were taking me to the Belmopan Police Station by another officer who they refused to give me his name, that was sitting beside me in the vehicle, you know.  I am here today to let them know, I have no quarrel with you.  My lawyer is dealing with my case in the court but I learned yesterday in the police department when I went to check on my report and why they couldn’t find it and all of that stuff that they were planning to try and set me up and to plant stuff for me and my guys so that they can come and arrest us again and harass us.  While when the first time I met Brad Paumen he came, my brother-in-law came to me and said that he had a job for me.  I thought it was a legal job so I went and when he asked me to, if I could find a way to get rid of Mr. Modiri and the people helping him with the case against Mr. Paumen.  So he had mentioned to me several names of very high ranking police officers that were on his payroll and it was people that he paid already to do certain things to Mr. Modiri and they didn’t succeed with it.  It all fairness to you my brother, I won’t mention their names so as to get you in any trouble but these people know who they are and I know who they are and different media houses know who they are.  The Special Branch; I spoke to Ms. Myles go there to work.”
